AC System Recharge

Air conditioning systems use extremely high pressures and temperatures. At its most basic level, a vehicle’s air conditioning system works by intentionally manipulating the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant and the direct relationship they have.

For an AC system to work, it needs a gas or liquid substance called refrigerant. Over time, refrigerant can leak from the AC system through seals. If the AC does not have enough refrigerant, it will not blow cold air.

What are the common symptoms indicating you need an AC System Recharge

  • AC is not working.
  • AC is not blowing cold air.
  • Clicking noise from the engine compartment.

How it’s done

  • Install air conditioning manifold gauge set.
  • Determine if the air conditioning system charge is low.
  • Add the correct refrigerant to top off the air conditioning system.
  • Install thermometer in vents to monitor vent temperatures.
  • Check the AC system thoroughly for leaks.
  • Check for proper operation of AC system

How important is this service?

Air conditioning systems use extremely high pressures and temperatures. If you notice any of the above symptoms, please do the safe thing: have your system inspected by one of our partner workshops.
